As Ecuador is located on the equator, the weather doesn’t vary much throughout the year. However, June through August is known to be the dry season.

Exploring the old town of Quito, a colonial city set in an Andean valley; visiting the cloud forests that surround Mashpi Lodge; cruising around the Galápagos Islands.
Days 1-2
Explore Quito, a city of churches, courtyards and beautifully intricate decoration including countless roses, whose growth and export represent a huge industry. Visit the special museums, shops, churches and performances while based at our favorite hotel.
Days 3-5
Head to either the cloud forest for a stay filled with hiking, guided nature tours and bird-watching at Mashpi Lodge, or to a working farm and hacienda, Zuleta.
Days 6-10
Explore the Galápagos by water—Indagare has access to the best fleet of ships in the islands—or on land, on one of the excellent, boutique lodges.
