With one third of all of the world’s antiquities and the only remaining one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World (the pyramids at Giza), Egypt has drawn tourists for thousands of years. From the Greeks and Romans to Napoleon and Mark Twain, travelers have come to see the glorious temples built by the pharaohs. Today, the mix of ancient monuments and Biblical landscapes continues to bewitch, making the country a must-in-a-lifetime visit.

Designing Your Journey
Work with Indagare to design the perfect itinerary for an immersive journey. Our travel experts know the destination inside and out, and they can make recommendations based on your travel needs and preferences.
10 Days: Essential Egypt
Egypt is a once-in-a-lifetime destination that most people will only experience once, which is why it’s crucial to arrange the most fulfilling experience possible. Here is just one example of what our destination experts can create for you.
Day 1-3: Cairo
Explore the highlights of Cairo with an expert guide who will introduce you to the city’s most iconic sights. The Egyptian Museum for King Tut, which houses the treasures recovered from King Tut’s tomb as well as a vast collection of other artifacts, the sphinx and the pyramids of Giza, Dashur and Saqqarah are the main attractions. Indagare can arrange also arrange tours of Islamic Cairo and the Citadel, as well as an after-hours tour of the Egyptian Museum for King Tut.
Day 4: Luxor or Aswan
Spend one night in Luxor or Aswan, both of which are starting points for travelers embarking on a Nile cruise. From Aswan, travelers can visit Abu Simbel, followed by touring at the Temple of Phile or the Nubian village. In Luxor, activities include visiting the Valley of the Kings and the Karnak Temple. Indagare can also arrange for a sunrise hot air balloon ride.
Day 5-10: Nile Cruise
Spend the remainder of your time in Egypt on a cruise, which makes stops along the river at various temples in Esna, Edfu, Kom Ombro and more, depending on the boat. Guests on a dahabiya (a traditional Nile boat) can enjoy opportunities for swimming and additional stops that the river cruises aren’t able to access.
Where To Stay
We only feature hotels that we can vouch for first-hand. At many of them, Indagare members receive special amenities, including upgrades, early check-in, breakfast, spa credits and more. Look for the Indagare Plus logo in the reviews.
