This Journey's Host

Rickie De Sole is the Head of Fashion Initiatives at Vogue, as well as Co-Director of the Women’s Fashion Group at Condé Nast. Prior to her current roles, De Sole was the Fashion Director at W Magazine and the Accessories Director at Vogue, where she also edited the Index section. She has also worked in public relations for Prada and in the fashion department at Vanity Fair. She has served on the boards of Rent the Runway and Thom Browne. Rickie graduated from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. with a Bachelor of Arts in Italian. In addition to her passion for its language, Rickie has a close connection to the country, as her father, Domenico De Sole, is from Rome (as well as the current chairman of Tom Ford International and the former president and CEO of Gucci Group). Rickie has also lived in Florence and visited Milan countless times for fashion week. On this journey, Rickie will share her unique insider’s perspective on the world of Italian couture.
