Discover southern Africa with an eye-opening journey to Malawi and Zambia. Indagare is thrilled to partner with the non-profit Maloto for a behind-the-scenes experience of the organization’s projects. The trip will conclude with a relaxing stay on the beautiful Lake Malawi and a thrilling safari in Zambia’s South Luangwa National Park.
What to Expect
Few places have the ability to penetrate the soul quite like Malawi. The red clay of the earth and the lush rolling hills enchant visitors, effortlessly leaving their lasting mark. On this journey, the group will behold the warmth of Africa by engaging with the northern Malawian community of Mzuzu.
Your guides will be Rose Allen and Shoshana Balistierri, two of Indagare’s very own team members who both recently returned from Malawi on a community service trip. Shoshana is also a member of the Maloto Board of Directors, while Rose is a Young Professionals Board member. With their partners at Maloto, a non-profit that seeks to feed, educate, and empower the Mzuzu community, the group will go behind the scenes of the incredible efforts to feed vulnerable children, destigmatize HIV/AIDS and educate the future leaders of Malawi.
After your experience in Mzuzu, travel to the beautiful Likoma Island on Lake Malawi for two days of relaxation lakeside. Known for its white sand beaches, clear freshwater and over 1,000 different exotic fish, activities here include snorkeling, kayaking, paddle boarding, sailing, walking and mountain biking. The last stop is South Luangwa National Park in Zambia for the authentic safari experience of a lifetime in one of the region’s most prestigious camps.
