Beaver Creek

Sometimes referred to as Vail’s little sister, Beaver Creek has in many ways surpassed its sibling. A true alpine village, tucked up in a high valley with towering, pine-clad peaks on three sides, Beaver Creek has raised the arts of pampering and individual attention, both on the slopes and off, to formidable heights.

    3 Days: Essential Beaver Creek

We can craft a customized itinerary with special access to superior lodges, classes and guided tours of the area. Here is just one example of what our destination experts can create for you.

    • Day 1:

Beaver Creek excels at creating thoughtful, spirited encounters with the superbly groomed ski mountain. Experienced skiers can take their pick of 149 different trails, which cover 1,800 skiable acres. If you’re new to the sport or are looking to brush up on your skills, don’t worry: Indagare can recommend you to our preferred ski school that will have you out on your own in no time. In the evening, enjoy a spa treatment or après-ski cocktail at your lodge before a gourmet dinner that highlights locally sourced ingredients.

    • Day 2:

Experience a taste of true Colorado back-country, no matter the season. In the winter, you can glide or snowshoe through McCoy Park, Beaver Creek’s superb cross-country ski terrain; in the summer, search for wildlife as you hike with a guide from the Summer Adventure Center in the main village. One special feature is the chance to hike to the summit of one of Colorado’s 14,000-foot peaks.

    • Day 3:

Explore the charming Beaver Creek Village, shopping for leather goods like cowboy boots and other artisanal treasures. There are also a few interesting galleries selling Western art. In the afternoon, indulge in the vibrant dining scene at such favorites as Grouse Mountain Grill and Spago. Save your final evening for a seasonal activity: a sleigh ride, a bonfire or a picnic dinner under the stars.

“Far from the city lights and distractions, we can see it all so much more clearly. I think that same vast isolation allows us to focus in the purest possible way on our family and our deepest wishes. That is a large part of the beauty for me of the American West.”
