Bermuda

A mid-Atlantic island, Bermuda is famous for its colonial architecture, pink-sand beaches and crystal blue waters. Great Britain’s oldest existing colony still feels traditionally English, but its proximity to the U.S. means there is a strong American influence. After a heyday in the 1960s, 70s and 80s, the 21-square-mile isle has been popular with families looking for a quick escape, business travelers and with cruise ships. Today the island is buzzing with luxury hotel and restaurant openings and there are an abundance of activities on and off the water.

    Best of Bermuda

Experience the best of Bermuda with a customized itinerary that includes special access, touring and exclusive reservations. Here is just one example of what our travel specialists can create for you.

    • Day 1: Lay of the Land

Hire a car and driver for a day to take you all over the island, from the Dockyards in the south, where the cruise ships dock and arts and crafts markets surround the ferry terminal, to the northern parish of St. George, an old fort and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Other points of interest include the Gibbs Hill Lighthouse for great views, the Crystal Caves and many secluded beaches.

    • Day 2: Hamilton and Beach

Located on a scenic harbor, Bermuda’s capital is defined by the charming, colorful storefronts that line the two main thoroughfares. While there aren’t many shopping options, it is still worth a short stroll through town. Sites of interest include the Historical Society Museum, the House of Assembly and the Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute where there’s a shipwreck gallery. Afterwards, head back to your hotel’s beach club for an afternoon at the beach.

    • Day 3: On the Water or Golf

The best way to see and get around the string of islands that make up Bermuda is by jet ski or private boat charter. The coastline boasts a number of coves and shipwrecks that can only be seen from the water. For those who prefer to stay on land, Bermuda is home to many golf courses and tennis courts. Indagare can arrange access to some of the prestigious clubs on the island.

"With the warm west winds at my back and the faint smell of hibiscus swarming my senses, riding through the canopied, winding roads of Bermuda feels familiar. I’ve been coming to this island since childhood, and over the years the archipelago of Bermuda remains steadfast, like an unwavering friend ready with open arms and an open heart." Read the article.

Indagare Insider and Chef Marcus Samuelsson

"Bermuda is such a beautiful, exciting world—the island, its indigenous culture, the British influence—and all of its elements are important for me. Marcus’ is a very local restaurant. Most ingredients in our dishes come from the local farms, which we really highlight, and that builds up and supports the community.” Read the interview.
