    3 Days: Essential Copenhagen

A classic Copenhagen itinerary includes stops at iconic sites as well as spectacular day trips outside the city. Here is just one example of what our destination experts can create for you.

    • Day 1: Key Sites

On your first day, Indagare can arrange a private guide to take you on a tour exploring Royal Copenhagen, visiting the city’s three palaces and learning about the oldest monarchy in the world. Afterwards, explore the famous Tivoli Gardens, the second-oldest amusement park in the world, before savoring a gourmet meal at one of the city’s Michelin-starred restaurants.

    • Day 2: Shopping and Design

Today, focus on one of Copenhagen’s biggest draws: its venerable design scene. In the morning, take in the history of Denmark and feast on classic furniture design at the Danish Museum of Art and Design. In Strøget, stop by the exquisite Illums Bolighus department store before visiting the exceptional design shops downtown. In the late afternoon, set sail on a canal tour to get a sense of the important role the sea has played in Danish history and to see the lovely cityscape at sunset before enjoying a seafood dinner.

    • Day 3: Excursion Options

This morning, visit the world-class Louisiana Museum of Modern Art in Humlebæk, a 40-minute drive from downtown Copenhagen, with an Indagare-vetted guide. Here you will see the magnificent sculpture garden and more than 3,000 works of modern art. Also about 40 minutes from Copenhagen is the spectacular Frederiksborg Castle and the picturesque county of North Zealand, known as the Danish Riviera. If traveling with kids, don’t miss the original Legoland theme park in Billund.
