6 Days: Essential Croatian Islands

Day 1-2: Dubrovnik to Korcula
Known for enchanting coves, historical heritage, winding stone streets and a glitzy yachting crowd, the Croatian Islands attract visitors looking to swim, sail and unwind in a glamorous setting. Set sail from Dubrovnik to the island of Korcula with its ancient walled city and lovely stone streets laid out like a fishbone. After lunch at a charming local café, visit wineries, explore the tiny stone villages of Rascise and Prigradica or hike the pine-scented trails that crisscross the island.
Day 3-4: Korcula to Hvar
Today, sail to the island of Hvar and anchor for the evening. Hvar Town is the Croatian version of St.-Tropez; the once simple fishing village now has megayachts lining its harbor, with shopping and nightlife options to match. Hike to the medieval fort above the town for stunning views of the deep blue water and string of rocky islands dotting the coast. Explore the 7th-century walls and Venetian-style loggia with an Indagare-vetted local guide who can introduce you to the island’s lesser-discovered treasures.
Day 4-6: Hvar to Split
Depart for a cruise back to Split, stopping at Sibenik. The oldest Croatian town in the Adriatic, it offers much to explore including hidden monasteries, churches and gardens. In the late afternoon, cruise up the Krka River to Skradin, a picturesque riverside village surrounded on three sides by forest, and embark on a short hike. Alternatively, return to your boat and sail to an uninhabited archipelago for an afternoon of swimming. Later, sail to the buzzing town of Split to conclude your journey.
